This engagement was somewhat unusual as it related to the sale of a family home during a very acrimonious break of marriage. This resulted in all sorts of challenges for Dan in managing both parties and dealing with demanding buyers mixed together with all the legal elements of the sales process. Dan worked tirelessly with all parties at all times of day, late into the evening and even at the weekend, sometimes at unsociable hours due to our buyers being away in the Far East on an extended break. After many twists and turns over a period of 5 months, when the normal sales process would have concluded within 3 months, it took all of Dan’s professionalism, tenacity and calm management of all parties involved to get us to completion.
Dan became the central point of contact for all interested parties, including legal, sellers, buyers and various surveyors. In my personal view, Dan went way beyond his remit as an estate agent and was completely focused on getting the sale over the line. He never seemed to give up, regardless of the many daily challenges he faced with all the players. On Feb 25th we finally managed to get the transfer done and completion agreed in 4 weeks.
